Firstly, we wish to welcome everyone back to the newly refurbished Kings Arms. This has been a long journey for our family and we are as excited as you are to get going. This is a lovely pub, with lots of history and I'd like to answer general questions that you have asked, or may ask.

Our Story
Matt, Tim, Sharon & Marc
First and foremost, this is a family run business - with family values, and high standards. We aim to offer high quality products which are sensibly priced and with the community in mind. Our family has its roots in the South East of England, however our draw to the North, after spending many holidays here has lead us to invest the Kings Arms. This picturesque part of the country drew us here and we are so pleased to have found this business venture to start. We hope you will give us a chance, and in return we will make The Kings Arms the best it can be. For our locals, we know that a new owner can bring suspicion and apprehension, but I am sure this will fade quickly when you enter the pub you love and meet us.

Q: What date will the Kings Arms re-open?
A: We have been open now since September the 8th 2024, so if you have yet to pop in, please come and say Hi! :)
Q: Are you a dog friendly pub?
A: We welcome well behaved dogs in both the Saloon bar & Sports bar. We have a Dog Watering station available and also free treats, so please help yourself. You'll find them in glass jars in both bars.
Q: Can I bring my children to the pub?
A: We welcome all well behaved kids and would love to see families enjoy themselves at the Kings Arms. This is your community Pub and family values are at the heart of our mission.
Q: What draught beer/cider/ales do you offer?
A: Our selection is as follows - Birra Moretti, Carling, Coors, Cruzcampo, Guinness, Inches Cider, John Smiths and Old Mout. We will also be offering an EXTENSIVE range of bottled beers, spirits, wines and cocktails, as well as a no-alcohol range.

Q: Will you be doing food?
A; Short answer? Yes, but not until early 2025. due to the late time of the year we took over the pub.
Q: Are you hiring staff?
A: Currently (November 2024) we have all our positions filled. But please check back often and we'll advertise on facebook and the website if we plan to hire.
Q: Can you accommodate my Birthday, wedding, wake, or similar event?
A: Yes, we are happy to provide a function area for personal events. If you head to the "About us" page you'll see a contact us area to make any enquiries. We will do our absolute best to accommodate any events you wish to hold.
Q: You don't have a product I enjoy drinking? Can I order this?
A: We have a policy of ask, and we'll buy. Please let us know if you have a beverage you enjoy, but we do not stock. We want all our customers to come to the Kings Arms and enjoy the drink they love. We don't bite, just ask!
Q: Will there be free Wi-Fi at the pub I can use?
A: WiFi is available at the pub. Please ask for the password. The WiFi comes up as The Kings Arms.
Q: What entertainment do you have at the pub?
A: In addition to Sky and TNT Sports and the Racing Channel on multi-screens, we will be offering electronic dartboards and fruit machines. If you have an idea for any other games you'd like us to add, then please let any of us know.
Q: What kind of refurbishment did you have done at the pub at the moment. Will we see a difference?
A: This was an extensive refurbishment and a complete overhaul. The pub is being completely upgraded by our partner, Punch Pubs. All areas of the building are being ripped out and replaced, including toilets, bar area and customer area. This has been an expensive undertaking and we hope all our customers will enjoy the new venue. For the Beer Garden, we'll be putting personal investment into this ready for next Summer. Watch this space. I'd like to thank Punch Pubs for their support in making this happen.
Q: Will you be doing coffee, teas etc?
A: We have just purchased our brand new coffee machine which will be installed in the coming days. With this in mind we want to let you all know that we will be serving fresh coffee 7 days a week from the 11th September. Our coffee is brewed from bean to cup and we plan to use only quality Columbian or Ethiopian coffee from reputable sources.
So pop in from 10am every day to enjoy your favourite coffee (or Tea of course)
